EV charger installation, Essex & London

Home charge points for any make of car, sited where you actually park. We check your supply, run the cable cleanly, and fit a safe, smart charger that's built to last — NICEIC-certified and signed off.

A proper home charge point, done right

A dedicated EV charger is faster, safer and far more convenient than charging from a three-pin socket. We install wall-mounted home chargers for every make of electric and plug-in hybrid car, matched to your driveway, your consumer unit and the way you park.

What's involved

  • Supply & load assessment — we check your main fuse and consumer unit can support a charger, and arrange any upgrade if needed
  • Charger choice — tethered (cable attached) or untethered, with smart scheduling and app control to charge on cheaper overnight rates
  • Tidy, weather-proof cable runs — neatly clipped or buried, drilled cleanly through walls, sited where you park
  • Safe install — dedicated circuit, the right protection, tested, certified and notified where required

Which charger should I get?

Most homes go for a 7kW charger, which fully charges a typical EV overnight. If your parking is shared or you want the cable tucked away, an untethered unit is tidier; if you want to grab-and-go, a tethered cable is more convenient. We'll talk you through the options for your car and won't push a unit you don't need.

How much does EV charger installation cost?

A standard home install typically runs from around £900–£1,400 including the charger. A longer cable run, a tricky route, or a supply upgrade can add to that. EV charger FAQs

How long does it take to install an EV charger?

A standard home charge point installation usually takes 3–4 hours, including testing and certification.

Do I need a special fuse box for an EV charger?

Not always, but your consumer unit needs a spare way and the right protection. If it doesn't, we can upgrade the board or fit a dedicated enclosure — we'll confirm exactly what's needed at the survey.

Are there any grants for home EV chargers?

The EV chargepoint grant is still available for people in flats and rented homes (up to £500). Most homeowners with off-street parking no longer qualify, but we'll point you to any current scheme you're eligible for.

Which EV chargers do you install?

We install all the major brands, tethered and untethered. We'll recommend the right charger for your car, driveway and budget rather than pushing one make. For more, read our EV charger installation guide.
